The 450-pound pig who ran out of captivity was lured with Oreos.

Kevin Bacon, an escaped 450-pound pig, was lured back to the Wisconsin enclosure with Oreos.

Last week, a resident of Wisconsin assisted in guiding his neighbor’s escaped pig back to its house by using a series of Oreos as a trail. The 450-pound swine, appropriately called Kevin Bacon, had eluded his enclosure on Friday, shortly after his owner departed for the weekend, and roamed a full mile along the road.

Kevin arrived at the Molgaard family’s rear doorway, whether he was looking for companions or treats, and was seen on their security camera while behaving in an exaggerated and attention-seeking manner.

Jake Molgaard informed the Associated Press on Wednesday that his wife observed an atypical-shaped individual on their driveway video, walking near their garage. He further mentioned that the hefty stranger eventually approached their back door.

“Immediately, my spouse commenced providing sustenance to him,” stated Molgaard, a 40-year-old proprietor of a nearby establishment. “That is her customary behavior towards any animal that enters our backyard.”

Kevin voraciously consumed apples, rice cakes, tomatoes, and carrots while the Molgaards commenced their efforts to locate the origin of his arrival.

Although the family does not engage in farming, their town of Brighton, located around 38 miles south of Milwaukee, is surrounded by numerous farms and orchards.

Fortuitously, a close acquaintance of the couple immediately identified Kevin and facilitated the connection between the Molgaards and the owner, who was unable to personally fetch the hog due to the distance.

The proprietor requested the family’s assistance in enticing Kevin to return to his premises, a task that could be effortlessly achieved by tempting the pig with his preferred indulgences: cookies, marshmallows, and other confections. Luckily, the Molgaards had plenty of Oreos for the task, they told TMJ4.

To their great joy, deputies from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department were enlisted to help escort Kevin Bacon back home in what they dubbed a “typical county call.” The one-mile trek took a jaw-dropping two-and-a-half hours to accomplish, Molgaard added.

The deputies and Molgaard family didn’t appear to mind, however. Molgaard’s 16-year-old daughter, with the consent of Kevin’s owner, hopped on the pig’s hairy back during the voyage, and the cops made time for lots of photo ops with the porker.

The unusual experience even led to a newly established friendship—Molgaard and his family have visited Kevin every day since with a box of donuts in hand. “He is a massive creature, but the owner says he’s a gentle giant,” Molgaard said.
