The Red Devils have already acquired two new faces this summer, acquiring French centre-back Leny Yoro and Dutch attacker Joshua Zirkzee, but head coach Erik ten Hag is eager to improve his squad further ahead of the new season.
They are, in particular, focused on bolstering at right-back position and are open to unloading Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is presently with the United squad on their preseason tour of USA and has a year left on his contract at Old Trafford, during this transfer window.
Manchester United spent £50 million ($64m) to sign Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace five years ago but are willing to cut their losses and sell the defender for just £15m ($20m) this summer.
The former Crystal Palace star has been firmly connected with a transfer back to London, with Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham ready to resume their interest in the player after failing to land Mazraoui.
Wan-Bissaka’s switch to the London Stadium will clear the headroom for Mazraoui’s arrival at Manchester United and the defender has already given the green light to an Old Trafford move, as per Foot Mercato, who say United have struck an agreement with Bayern over a £15 million plus £5m add-ons deal ($20m plus $6m add-ons) for the Moroccan.
Mazraoui joined Bayern in 2022 and has made over 50 appearances for the German giants throughout his two seasons at the Allianz Arena. He also has 28 caps for Moroccan national team.
