Report: The Former Guard for the Phoenix Suns May Join the Lakers

Phoenix: Chris Paul, a former guard for the Phoenix Suns, may be trying to play for every team in the Pacific division.

Paul is reportedly a candidate to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers this summer after having previously played for the Suns, Los Angeles Clippers, and Golden State Warriors, according to B/R’s Eric Pincus.

Pincus stated, “Chris Paul will likely be a free agent.””The Warriors have a good possibility of trading him or simply cutting him. It’s clear that he and LeBron [James] are tight.

In a another universe, Chris Paul gets signed by the Lakers. It isn’t outrageous in my opinion. I would be negligent if I did not bring up Chris Paul as a plausible candidate.

I think it makes a lot of sense. Is Chris here only to get by? I’m not sure. Although I wouldn’t want to suggest that he is inexpensive for the Lakers, I could understand it if a better offer wasn’t made.

Paul was originally scheduled to sign with the Lakers in 2011, but the NBA, who were then the Charlotte Hornets’ owners, vetoed the deal. Now, more than ten years later, he might re-join while still pursuing his first championship ring.

It is not assured that Paul will make $30 million in compensation for the 2024–25 season until June 28. He recently turned 39 and is in the last year of his contract.
