Ex-Minister Oduah: Tinubu Government Will Restore Nigeria’s Economy

The All Progressives Congress (APC) administration of President Bola Tinubu, according to former aviation minister Senator Stella Oduah, is progressively bolstering and realigning the country’s economy for long-term stability and discernible expansion.

The former Minister, who spoke while addressing the Igbo Business Community in Abuja at the weekend, also applauded President Tinubu for his manifest commitment towards the infrastructural development of the South East as well as the recognition, acceptance, and inclusion of the region in governance. Sen. Oduah praised Tinubu and the APC national leadership for designating Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as the coordinator of the party’s activities in the southeast region. She added that she recently joined the APC as a result of Governor Uzodimma’s appointment and his efforts to bring development and federal presence to the region on the party platform.

Oduah emphasized that the Tinubu government does not tolerate loud hyperbole, self-praise, or showboating and that the administration’s accomplishments are verifiable and authentic rather than hypothetical. According to Oduah, the administration’s policies are pragmatic, analytical, and strategically focused on unleashing the country’s creative potential and creating abundant job opportunities across all sectors for enterprising Nigerians, especially the younger generation.

She emphasized that Nigerians will soon be able to put the country’s hardships behind them if the Renewed Hope Agenda was implemented steadily and its ideals were accepted. “President Tinubu is a quiet achiever who leads by listening. Propaganda, media hype, and showboating are not his thing. His accomplishments are tangible, provable, and non-speculative; he is focused on the mission.

“His programs are logical, systematic, and strategically focused on maximizing the country’s productive potential. Through the gradual adoption of the Renewed Hope Agenda and its successful execution, this administration is quietly rekindling Nigerian creativity and generating a plethora of job possibilities across all economic sectors, particularly for our young people.

She applauded Tinubu for adhering to his 30 percent affirmative action policy for youth engagement in government and appointments, as well as for authorizing the disbursement of N60 billion under the Agric Investment and Small and Medium Enterprises Scheme for the benefit of the youth. Oduah claims that these kinds of actions demonstrate the President’s strong commitment to helping young people in Nigeria realize their full potential and to reposition them for increased productivity, self-sufficiency, and global competitiveness in all vital industries.

She also praised the president for his audacious attempts to pay off the $7 billion foreign exchange backlog that he inherited, saying that this has begun to show in the strengthening of the Naira and the country’s economy as a whole.

On party activities, Senator Oduah stressed that the appointment of Governor Uzodimma has further endeared the South East to the APC considering his popularity in the region due to his achievements in government, adding that with him as APC coordinator in the South East, the party will further penetrate and take complete leadership of the region in the next round of elections. The senator, who was born in Anambra, said that the South East would gain much from a government that valued, encouraged, and supported innovation, the pursuit of productivity, and inclusivity, and that is why the area had welcomed Tinubu and the APC. She asked the Igbo Business Community members to stick together in backing Governor Uzodimma, President Tinubu, and the APC.
