Update: A WWE megastar is expected to be sidelined after an allegation level against him

The WWEPERSONNEL EXPECTS STAR TO ‘BE GONE’ AFTER ACCUSATION MADE AGAINST HIM

Some people in WWE apparently anticipated a member of the roster to “be gone” after a recent charge that was made against him.

In an interview with News Nation on April 2, Ronda Rousey alleged that Drew Gulak had once ‘grabbed the drawstring of her sweatpants’ backstage.

“I was standing there, and this guy who I was barely acquainted with grabs the string of my sweatpants as I’m walking by. Like, I wasn’t even looking at him. This guy grabs the string of my sweatpants, and nobody else responds as if this is odd.

“He grabs it and he starts going down the hall and I’m just like, ‘What the f**k was that?’ Like, why are you grabbing the string on my sweatpants? If my spouse were standing here next to me, would you feel safe walking up to me and grabbing the string of my sweatpants?

“But nobody around me acted as if it were abnormal. All the guys around me were just like, this is part of the day. And I’m thinking, if this guy is coming up to me and doing this type of stuff to me while there’s other people there, what’s happening to these other girls when it’s not in a corridor or anything like that? So that really set me on edge; not only is this conduct pervasive, but it’s so prevalent that people don’t even recognize it’s an issue anymore.

“Drew Gulak; that’s who it was. I went and confronted him later, and I was like, ‘If I ever hear about you putting your hands on any other lady like this or doing anything like this to me ever again, we’re going to have a problem’.

“And he was like, ‘No, no, I’m glad that you said something to me’. He just really enjoys backpedaling and anything like that. But it just put a really nasty taste in my mouth about the culture there, what’s thought appropriate, and how to touch and treat the women in the corridors and anywhere.”

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez stated that some individuals in WWE expected NXT star Gulak to be gone from the business after the accusation. Alvarez said:

“There were people today, or actually it was Tuesday, when this story came out, and there were people there that thought, ‘Man, Drew Gulak’s probably going to be gone tomorrow’.”

As of this writing, there’s been no mention of a departure happening, and Gulak is still on the WWE’s online roster page. Responding to the claim by Rousey, Gulak tweeted:

Backstage during a WWE event in 2022, I noticed Ronda conversing with a group in the hallway. I stopped to say hi and shake all their hands, and in an attempt to shake her hand, I accidentally touched her drawstring. Complete accident, and one for which I had apologized to her for the error.
