The transfer window ended quickly as Premier League clubs rushed to seal last-minute deals before and beyond the 11pm deadline.

Raheem Sterling has joined Arsenal on a season-long loan from Chelsea. The teams announced the move roughly three hours after the Premier League transfer market closed. Sterling, 29, has 82 England caps but was locked out at Chelsea under Enzo Maresca.

Despite Chelsea’s interest in signing a striker, top choice Victor Osimhen chose to stay at Napoli, while Ivan Toney joined Al-Ahli from Brentford for £40m.

Chelsea and Manchester United have reached a loan agreement for winger Jadon Sancho, who is poised to leave Old Trafford. United completed the acquisition of PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte, following the sale of Scott McTominay to Napoli.

Wolves signed three players, Nottingham Forest loaned James-Ward Prowse, Everton signed Armando Broja from Chelsea, and Fulham bought Reiss Nelson from Arsenal late.
