Mbappe comes out to the right this time to find some space. It’s worked back to Tchouameni who takes aim from distance but blazes over.

First sighter for Mbappe Valverde does well to break up play before Rudiger throws a long ball over the top for Mbappe to lengthen his legs for the first time. It’s got a bit too much on it though and the Frenchman is forced to recycle the ball.
Mbappe makes another identical run off the right centre-back’s shoulder and Rudiger this time plays his chipped pass to perfection. The ball comes over Mbappe who volleys it first-time with his left foot. He gets the effort on aim but Hein is down well to save. 7′
Vinicius alleges handball from Valladolid goalie Hein sprints out to claim a long ball which Vinicius thinks was outside of his box but the referee waves it away. Replays suggest the Brazilian may have had a case.
A sloppy touch from Rosa at left-back gifts Madrid possession. It will be a long afternoon for Valladolid with cheap blunders like that. An offside flag haults the Madrid attack though.
Confident start from Madrid Rodrygo lifts the crowd early on as he knocks Rosa off the ball before winning a free-kick as he skipped by the defender. Madrid exploit this as a chance to gain some early dominance.
Carvajal plays a beautiful through pass down the right channel for Guler who wins a corner. It’s worked short and is eventually floated in by Vinicius but it’s easy pickings for Hein.
