Isaiah Hartenstein recently concluded his second season as a member of the New York Knicks. The six-year veteran shot 64.4% from the field in 75 games to finish the season with averages of 7.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN on Monday, Hartenstein will be signed by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Wojnarowski reports that “ESPN Sources: Free agent C The Oklahoma City Thunder and Isaiah Hartenstein have reached an agreement on a three-year, $87 million contract. Hartenstein, eager to contribute his size, skill, and physicality, left the Knicks for the top West seed.”
Hartenstein posted something on Instagram after hearing the news. In less than two hours, his post received over 23,000 likes and 2,000 comments.

The player the Thunder are acquiring will significantly increase their chances of winning the NBA Championship in 2025.
With a 57-25 record the previous season, the Thunder were the first seed in the Western Conference. In six games, they were defeated by the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA playoffs’ second round.
