Jalen Brunson Responds to Knicks Fans’ Injury Concerns After WWE Appearance

After his WWE appearance, some fans of the New York Knicks were concerned, but Jaleen Brunson’s hand is fine. The information was provided by Brunson himself, who made an appearance on this Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown, the weekly revival of the legendary wrestling program.

In front of his home audience, Brunson fulfilled his “childhood dream” of making a debut in the WWE. Fans were particularly worried about his fractured hand from Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals over the Indiana Pacers. The Knicks’ season was ruined primarily by injuries, but Brunson reassured worried fans that he was okay.

The Madison Square Garden, home of Brunson’s Knicks, served as the venue for the SmackDown show. Tyrese Haliburton, a well-known fan of professional wrestling, joined Brunson in the episode, which capitalized on the rekindled rivalry between the Knicks and Pacers.

Haliburton played the antagonist as he faced Brunson in the skit. Although there was no fighting later in the evening, Brunson took a chair and went in the ring with Haliburton.4

Brunson even met with WWE chairman Paul Michael Levesque, more commonly known as Triple H, who performed Brunson’s signature three-point celebration.

Brunson’s breakthrough season was this past season. In 77 games played, he averaged 28.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 6.7 assists, while shooting 47.9 percent from the floor and 40.1 percent from three-point range.

His offense was only heightened in the playoffs, where he averaged an incredible 32.4 points per game. He also averaged 3.3 rebounds and 7.5 assists, while shooting 44.4 percent from the floor and 31 percent from three-point range.

Brunson is anticipated to be the cornerstone for a Knicks club which has made some big changes over the previous week. They traded for Mikal Bridges and re-signed OG Anunoby to a max contract.

Combined with Julius Randle and the deep bench, they are poised to be serious contenders for next year’s title and contenders for the next several seasons, if all goes well and they remain healthy. After his WWE appearance, some fans of the New York Knicks were concerned, but Jaleen Brunson’s hand is fine.
