Forward with the Vegas Golden Knights The USA’s roster for the 2025 Four Nations Match features Jack Eichel.
June 28, 2024, in Vegas Today, June 28, the National Hockey League revealed the starting six players for each of the four teams who will be taking part in the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off.
NHL players from the United States, Canada, Sweden, and Finland will compete in teams in the round-robin 4 Nations Face-Off.
One of the first six players selected for the USA team for the competition, which will take place in Boston and Montreal from February 12–20, is Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel. The 2024–25 NHL All-Star Weekend will not take place.
During his hockey career, Eichel, 27, has played on the international scene for his nation on several occasions. The forward participated in three IIHF World Championships, winning a bronze medal in his debut event in 2015.
Two times at the U18 and U20 levels, Eichel participated in the IIHF World Junior Championship four times in total. He earned a gold medal with the Americans in 2014 at the age of seventeen, and a silver medal with them in 2013 at the age of sixteen. Eichel participated in the USA Hockey National Team Development Program for two seasons (2012–13 and 2013–14).
The North Chelmsford, Massachusetts native played one season of NCAA hockey at Boston University before going pro. As the nation’s best men’s hockey player in 2015, Eichel won the Hobey Baker Award after setting records for plus-minus (+51), power-play points (23) and points (70).
On November 4, 2021, the Golden Knights acquired Eichel, who was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the first round (2nd overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
