Update: These are the approaches the New York Jet can take to nail the 2024 offseason…

Report: Here’s How the New York Knicks Can Nail the 2024 Offseason.

The 2023-24 season concluded on a dismal note for the New York Knicks, getting knocked out in the second round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs. But, altogether, it was a good season as the club took further strides in the right way.

This summer is a highly significant one for the franchise. They are on the edge of being serious contenders. It can be argued they would have been this season had injuries not slammed the club so severely.

What can they do to ensure they stay as contenders? In the opinion of Chris Herring of ESPN, the New York Knicks merely need to continue the course.

“Perhaps more than any other team aside from the NBA champion Celtics, the Knicks should feel good about largely maintaining the status quo.

That challenge will come with a heavy tag, of course, as defensive stud OG Anunoby and center Isaiah Hartenstein, the latter of whom was extremely spectacular upon joining the team’s starting lineup, are both free agents who may command top pay in the marketplace,” Herring wrote.

While some supporters want to see a splashy trade go accomplished, it isn’t a path the franchise has to go down any more. Jalen Brunson is a real star and Julius Randle is a multi-time All-Star and All-NBA level athlete.

With the appropriate mix of players around that combo, the New York Knicks can find a ton of success. We previously seen how dominant they can be with OG Anunboy and Isaiah Hartenstein in the starting lineup with them and Donte DiVincenzo.

For four weeks, the New York Knicks were the top team in the NBA. Anunoby proved to be a fantastic match as the missing component on both ends of the floor.

Hartenstein upped the team’s floor as well, operating as one of the finest defenders in the NBA and giving more than Mitchell Robinson offensively.

Team president Leon Rose has the assets to make modest adjustments or massive ones. Given the scarcity of game-changing talent currently available on the trade market, minor moves to plug the voids make sense.

A healthy New York Knicks club will make noise in the Eastern Conference. Upgrading the depth at the end of the bench is undoubtedly a requirement this offseason.

After trading away its first-round picks in recent rounds, New York could try to replace depth with players that meet certain requirements that the organization can look to develop.
