Bad news: Two of the Knicks top players had surgery…

The New York Knicks, Jalen Brunson and Bojan Bogdanovic, underwent surgery.

New York Knicks star guard Jalen Brunson and forward Bojan Bogdanovic underwent surgery on Wednesday, the organization revealed.

Brunson’s issue, of course, is of the high-profile sort. The All-Star shattered his left hand during Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the visiting Indiana Pacers on Sunday.

He revealed after the game that he got the injury when his hand banged against the Pacers standout Tyrese Haliburton in the third quarter.

Bogdanovic, 35, underwent surgery on his left wrist, and another procedure is looming as he is also slated to have surgery on his left foot.

In 29 regular-season games, after coming to the Knicks from the Detroit Pistons, Bogdanovic averaged 10.4 points per game.

Brunson, 27, emerged as an NBA superstar this season as he raised himself to career-high averages in points (28.7) and assists (6.7) in 77 games this season. … and then hit the throttle in the postseason,

Brunson was a playoff sensation as he became the fourth player in NBA playoff history to score 40 or more points in four consecutive games. … joining only Jerry West, Michael Jordan and Knicks legend Bernard King. The Knicks say both players will be re-evaluated in six to eight weeks.
