This summer, the New York Jets have developed into a club that many believe to be the best in the league and in their division. A lot of that depends on Aaron Rodgers appearing well after recovering from his ruptured Achilles tendon.

This offense should definitely improve upon the horrible performance they had last year, when they were among the lowest in the NFL, now that the future Hall of Famer is back in the mix.

It’s expected that Rodgers will regain the form that helped him win two MVP awards in a row in 2020 and 2021 if he can keep up his health, but at forty years old, that assumption should be made with some caution.

If their wide receiver room is able to play at a high level, that would definitely help in making the offense look much better than it has in previous seasons.

Garrett Wilson has been a standout for the Jets; he won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2022 and had consecutive seasons of 1,000 yards or more in receiving throughout his first two professional seasons. Surrounding him, New York signed Mike Williams in free agency and selected Malachi Corley in the draft.

Wilson would have his third consecutive 1,000-yard season and record his most yardage ever in a career year with over 100 catches if this were to come to pass.

Later, a minor transverse process fracture in his back prevented him from playing in the playoffs. After that, in Week 3 of the previous season, he tore his ACL, and he is still recovering.

While those numbers would be the second-best production he has ever had in his seven years as a professional football player, this projection is undoubtedly positive. On the other hand, Corley catching 62 passes for just more than 800 yards would be a major victory for the Jets.

It would not only demonstrate that their rookie can succeed in the NFL, but they would also be able to combine him with Wilson for a number of upcoming seasons, providing Rodgers—their eventual quarterback—with a reliable arsenal for years to come.
