Even after the Washington, D.C., NFL team changed its name to the Commanders two years ago, the majority of the city’s supporters still don’t like it.
The majority of local sports fans (54 percent), according to a Washington Post-Schar School study conducted in April, believe they either detest or hate the moniker.
The dislike for the name is even more pronounced among local Commanders supporters, with 58% stating they don’t like it.
They think they have their quarterback, Commanders. Are they able to keep him safe?
