Report: A well-known cookie manufacturer is planning to launch a new Miami Beach chip store.

Trendy A Cookie Company Based in New York Is Planning to Take Over Miami.

In South Florida, if you haven’t heard of Chip City Cookies yet, be prepared to hear the term more frequently. Popular New York City-based cookie firm famed for its “ooey-gooey cookies” is planning to build branches throughout South Florida, including Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, MiMo District, Aventura, and Delray Beach, after launching its first Miami location in 2023.

On Friday, May 31, Chip City Cookies will formally celebrate the grand opening of its MiMo District location. For those in Miami who are interested in trying its viral sweets, the company will be giving away free signature cookies to the first 100 customers who arrive.

Classic chocolate chip, s’mores, confetti, cookies and cream, dark chocolate peanut butter, banana cream pie, white chocolate macadamia, and the dairy-free “Brookie” will be available starting on Monday, May 27 and continuing through the grand opening weekend in MiMo.

Additionally, during the grand opening weekend, two limited-edition cookies will be available: the chocolate cupcake on Friday, May 31, and the cinnamon roll on Saturday, June 1. Both cookies will be available for one day only.

Teddy Gailas and Peter Phillips, two boyhood friends, challenged each other to make the finest cookie, which led to the creation of the well-known New York City cookie brand.

They had no idea at the time that their side project would eventually grow into Chip City Cookies, a nationwide chain of over 35 shops. Fans may currently locate Chip City Cookies in Florida, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.

Chip City Cookies debuted in South Florida last year when it established a store in Miami Beach. This past week, it opened a second site in Delray Beach.

The company’s third SoFlo location will be at the new address, 7285 Biscayne Blvd. “We’re beyond excited to announce the opening of our third Florida location!” states Gailas.”We’re bringing the Sunshine State even more mouthwatering cookies and smiles.”

The company sells a variety of cookies and typically causes a stir on social media with each post it makes. Every year, more than 40 distinct flavors are rotated in, including crowd favorites like cannoli cookie, oatmeal apple pie, blueberry cheesecake, peanut butter & jelly, “Everything Cookie,” s’mores, and lemon berry.

The menu rotates each week to feature fresh and traditional flavors, and the store always makes sure to have dairy-free options accessible.

The chocolate cupcake cookie, the “Frootie Crunch,” and most recently, Chip City Cookies’ “Thin Chips and Chip Cookies,” their own spin on the popular cookie-croissant hybrid from Parisian bakeries, are some of the year’s highlights.

By the end of the year, Chip City Fort Lauderdale and Chip City Aventura, two more locations in South Florida, will open for business for the rapidly expanding cookie franchise.
