Whitney’s Cookies & Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman Partner on Summer Cookie
The well-known gourmet cookie brand Whitney’s Cookies, established by MasterChef winner Whitney Miller, is thrilled to announce a summer cookie partnership with Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town.
A portion of the sales from each cookie box, which is currently available for pre-order, will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Schlapman and Chef Whitney’s culinary skills came together to produce a Lemon Blueberry Tea Cake Cookie that offered a taste of the South. This cookie blends Southern flavors with family traditions, from the sweet blueberries to the tart lemon flavor.
Kimberly’s two favorite desserts, her mama’s tea cakes (cookies) and lemon blueberry cobbler, served as the inspiration for this unique cooperation cookie.
Blending these tastes together, Chef Whitney created a lemon cookie with freshly squeezed lemon juice and zest, accented with chewy dried blueberry gems for sweetness, and topped with a crumbly cobbler topping.
The cookies, which are wrapped in a limited-edition bespoke cookie box and are available for nationwide shipment, come with four types of Whitney’s Cookies—Celebration Sprinkles and Brownie—and Kimberly’s two favorite flavors, Lemon Blueberry Tea Cake Cookies. Preorders for this unique collaboration are only accepted through June 3rd, or until supplies run out.
Schlapman’s response to the cookie: “It’s really beautiful! You taste the lemon right away, followed by the pop of the blueberry. The combination works like magic. Delicious! It has the exact same texture as my mother’s tea cakes.
Chef Whitney claims that Kimberly adores their cookies. She is very grounded and a great fit for our brand. She makes people happy with her cuisine and music. We make people happy by selling cookies. Through our joint cookie, we both wish to make people happy.
