Wow! Many wide receivers use Chicago’s Bears to thrive..

Wide receivers now flock to Chicago in order to thrive.

Caleb Williams’ supporting cast is the primary factor driving his higher than average first-round quarterback expectations. For years, the Bears had thought of using tight ends, wide receivers, and running backs as a quarterback supporting cast.

GM Ryan Poles broadened his sights and added several targets to the position this past summer that are capable of breaking down the majority of defenses. The idea that wide receivers go to Chicago to die is no longer relevant, according to Muhsin Muhammad.

Because he has so many weapons—possibly the strongest wide receiver corps ever for a No. 1 choice overall—Caleb Williams is ranked in the top 20 quarterbacks by Pro Football Focus despite being a rookie and not having completed a pass.

Not tight ends; only wide receivers are included in this. The top pick is Justin Jefferson, who has reportedly missed the Vikings OTAs. There are no top-30 wide receivers in Green Bay.

Moore, who is one spot behind Stefon Diggs in the rankings, ought to be given serious consideration for the Pro Bowl moving ahead. PFF mainstay Sam Monson’s piece about the rankings makes the case that Moore could have been even more effective in 2017 than 1,364 yards.

“Justin Fields was not seeing the game well at all early in the year, and despite that, DJ Moore was still able to rack up 1,364 yards at 2.31 yards per route run.”

Monston notes that despite missing four games last season, Allen, who will be 32 this season, still had 1,243 yards.

Monson stated that Odunze would have been the draft’s top receiver in any other year, but Marvin Harrison Jr. (ranked 21st) and Malik Nabers (ranked 25th) forced him to the third pick. Odunze is the third and last wide receiver from this draft class to be ranked in the top 32.

“Odunze brings an athletic profile to the table that can dominate NFL-level athletes and is especially good at winning contested catches,” Monson stated.

In fact, Odunze won on 21 of his 28 contested catch attempts last year, according to PFF’s predraft evaluation. This is the reason Odunze described his ability to play 50/50 ball as 75/25 following the draft.
