Report: Commanders are choosing their best players for the rookie debut.

UP TOP: Commanders Luke McCaffrey and Jayden Daniels at the Rookie Premiere.

After spending year after year in the NFL’s equivalent of a concentration camp, the Washington Commanders are embarking on a new chapter in their history with the goal of turning things around. The ownership, coaching staff, front office, and roster have all undergone significant changes.

As previously stated, the Commanders flipped their roster as part of their revamp, and one method they wanted to accomplish this was by selecting nine rookies in the April NFL Draft.

The Commanders filled a number of voids on their squad, the most significant of which may have been quarterback Jayden Daniels, the second overall pick.

The NFL hosted its yearly Rookie Premiere over the weekend, where rookies from all over the league gather to showcase their new outfits. Daniels and fellow rookie third-round selection Luke McCaffrey were dispatched by the Commanders.

Both athletes looked great in their new outfits. Daniels is anticipated to start on Opening Day in Washington, with Marcus Mariota providing backup.

Luke was a little surprised to be selected in the third round of the draft, but he appears to be developing quickly and will be a valuable backup wide receiver in Washington behind players like Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson.
