Update: Unusual details regarding Justin Fields’ Chicago Bears have surfaced…

The Chicago Bears source provides terrible information about Justin Fields.

The Chicago Bears traded rookie quarterback Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this offseason, ending Fields’ time with the team.

There has always been a prevailing belief that Fields was well-liked in the Chicago locker room and enjoyed excellent relationships with his teammates, coaches, and front office staff. However, Tyler Dunne of Go Long is told a very different story by a Bears source.

The insider mentioned in detail Fields’ interactions with Nick Foles and Andy Dalton, two seasoned quarterbacks, during his 2021 rookie season.

“They never shared a moment together. The insider said to Dunne, “It was always Andy and Nick strolling side by side with Justin always behind them by fifteen yards.

It doesn’t seem that Dalton or Foles were at blame either. It was because Fields had clearly shown no interest in having a mentor.

According to Dunne, “there were several arguments among the QBs.” According to one account, Foles turned to face Fields when he noticed the rookie quarterback wasn’t really trying to learn anything from him while they were in the quarterback room.

He had his head lowered. Foles had had enough of attempting to be a mentor at that time. The two were unable to tolerate one another.

And you’re aware of all the legends around Fields’ exceptional leadership abilities? That, too, might have been overly dramatic.

According to a source who spoke with Dunne, Fields is a “surface level dude” and not much of a leader. The insider went on to say that Fields struggled to build genuine relationships with his colleagues and that they didn’t think highly of him at all.

The insider went on to claim that Fields’ arrogance was unjustified and that teammates didn’t value it. Fields was described as lacking emotional intelligence by the same source.

This revelation is shocking, especially considering the positive things that Bears general manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus said about Fields.

Although we can’t be certain of what transpired inside Chicago’s locker room, it is difficult to believe that the source is making this whole thing up. Perhaps Fields wasn’t as popular as the media has made him out to be.

For the benefit of the Bears, hopefully, Caleb Williams can develop stronger bonds with his teammates and succeed where Justin Fields seemed to fall short.
