The 2024 Bears schedule will be unveiled on May 15, following a week-long delay by the NFL owing to unidentified logistical concerns.

Although the Bears’ schedule is unknown, we do know who Caleb Williams, the opponent’s rookie quarterback, and the rapidly developing Bears will play this autumn.

With a slate that gives the first overall choice the opportunity to play against a range of defensive styles and caliber of defenses, it should be the perfect platform for the Bears’ franchise’s future development.

Only one of those 14 opponents—the 49ers—finished in the top 10 in scoring defense last season. However, the top 15 finishes were shared by Minnesota, Green Bay, Houston, Tennessee, and New England. In the meantime, the bottom five included Indianapolis, Washington, Arizona, and Carolina.

Carolina and San Francisco placed in the top 10 in terms of yards per game, while Seattle and Washington placed in the bottom five.

Only the defenses of the Patriots and 49ers were in the top 10 last season when ranked by defensive EPA (Expected Points Added) per play. Among the bottom ten were the Panthers, Commanders, Seahawks, Cardinals, Packers, Rams, and Titans.

Four of the NFL’s blitz-heavy clubs will also be seen by Williams. According to Pro Football Reference, the Vikings and defensive coordinator Brian Flores topped the NFL in blitzing on 51.5 percent of snaps.

In the top 10, were the Patriots (35.2), Jaguars (30.0), and Packers (29.3). Lions were rated eleventh. In the meantime, the Texans (21.0), 49ers (18.0), and Colts (15.7) were among the lowest five.
