Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp has once again played down the confrontation between him and Mohamed Salah on Friday.
The duo had a heated discussion as the Egyptian winger prepared to come on as a substitute against West Ham United during last weekend’s English Premier League showdown at London Stadium.
Salah looked agitated by whatever the German strategist said and was led away by teammates Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez. Salah went on to reject to discuss what transpired between the two after the game and said: “If I speak, there will be fire.”
Klopp has now informed the fans that the matter has been “completely resolved” while addressing ahead of Sunday’s clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield Stadium.
“There’s no problem. We are completely fine with that. It’s a non-story. I think we have the right to deal with these matters entirely independent of any expectations from the outside,” Klopp said on Sky Sports.
“If we didn’t know each other for that long I am not sure how we would deal with it but we have known each other for that long and respect each other so much that it’s really no problem.
“The best situation would be everyone is in the best place, we win the games and score loads of goals then yes, the situation probably would not have been like that because Mo wouldn’t have been on the bench in the first place.
It all depends on each other.” Salah has scored 24 goals in 41 outings for Liverpool in the current season and he is the club’s leading scorer this term.
