After the play-in tournament concluded on Friday night, the 2024 NBA playoff field was officially determined. The eighth and final postseason spots in the East and West, respectively, were won by the Miami Heat and New Orleans Pelicans.

There are a lot of thrilling matchups in the first round of the playoffs. The No. 2 Denver Nuggets will take on the No. 7 Los Angeles Lakers in a rematch of last year’s conference championship series, while the No. 1 Boston Celtics will want to exact revenge on the No. 8 Heat.

In the meantime, the No. 4 Los Angeles Clippers and No. 5 Dallas Mavericks will play each other for the third time in the previous five years, and the No. 2 New York Knicks and No. 7 Philadelphia 76ers will play each other in the postseason for the first time since 1989.
