Watch: While attempting to apprehend a suspect, the Las Vegas police dog was stabbed.

Law enforcement organizations frequently use police dogs for vital duties. While on duty, a police dog by the name of Enzo was repeatedly stabbed. The USA’s Las Vegas Metropolitan Police received information about a “suicidal male” in an apartment on South Las Vegas Boulevard on March 29.

When the officers arrived, they spoke with the man. He ignited a fire despite their repeated requests for him to leave the apartment. The police dispatched K9 units and crisis negotiators in response.

The man left the apartment with a knife shortly after the special forces arrived, and Enzo pursued him as he attempted to flee. The dog was then repeatedly stabbed by the man.

After the offender was brought under control by the police, the wounded K9 dog was taken to a local veterinary hospital. The dog received emergency care after being evacuated to a veterinary trauma hospital.

Enzo’s condition remained stable, according to a day later’s Instagram update from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. On April 4, the three-year-old Belgian Malinois went home from the hospital after a few days.

“ENZO is going home!” was written by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police alongside a video of Enzo and his handler. Watch this video that was shot earlier in the day.

He and his handler made a visit to the K9 Section Facility of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. For the next few weeks, Enzo will keep recovering and won’t be able to work. We are grateful for the amazing support that was shown following this occurrence.

Many individuals asked the police agency to retire the dog for medical reasons in the comments section. “So happy to see him relaxed, recovering, and getting lots of pets and love,” posted a user on Instagram. I hope he gets to retire! He performed his duty and did it well. It nearly killed him.

I’m grateful for your assistance, Enzo! Good buddy, you deserve everything and everything! Someone else said, “I’m praying for Enzo! Please put him in retirement! What a horrific experience this puppy had to endure!

“I love that he was flown, just like we would fly any of our officers who needed immediate care,” an Instagram user commented on the video. What a fantastic illustration of cooperation during combat! Outstanding work to everyone who contributed to this!
