After surviving urgent surgery, actress Aiyeola says, “Good to be back alive.”
Opeyemi Aiyeola, a Nollywood actress, disclosed that she just had emergency surgery. She revealed this on Sunday in a post on her Instagram page. She shared a lengthy video on Instagram to address her fans and followers from the hospital bed. According to the actress, she started feeling uneasy some days ago, which could have been a result of stress or malaria symptoms. This led her to stop by a pharmacy and purchase a pack of nonprescribed malaria drugs. Opeyemi said she took the drug on her way back to Ogun state after a meal of garri and without bothering to read the side effects of the drugs. This, according to her, was a mistake that almost cost her life.
The actress explained that she started feeling nauseous and was passing out on several occasions after taking the drugs, which led to her being admitted to the hospital. In a different portion of the video, Opeyemi explained that the doctors eventually discovered that the malaria drug was responsible for how she was feeling. She also admitted not reading the side effects that had been spelled out in the pamphlet that came with the medication.
The actress revealed that she had to spend her recent vacation recovering from an unanticipated operation that happened during her trip. Fortunately, the surgery went well. “I have every reason to thank my Jehovah for his kindness and love,” she stated.
“I am very grateful for all of your love, support, and care, my handsome, beautiful, and accurate medical staff, family, and friends. It is good to be back home safely and to be getting better. I appreciate it deeply.
