According to Lakers head coach Darvin Ham, Los Angeles could be getting back a crucial piece of the puzzle against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday. Forward Cam Reddish practiced on Wednesday and is expected to be available to play against Philadelphia.
Reddish has only participated in 40 games for Los Angeles this season but has made his presence known. This year, he is averaging 6.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
Getting Reddish back with only a few of games left on the calendar is essential for the Lakers. His defensive qualities alone will be important, especially in this game against the 76ers.
Reddish might be put on guard by Tyrese Maxey in the game, helping to minimize his offensive possibilities. The 76ers will be missing All-Star center Joel Embiid, so Maxey will be the subject of interest in the clash.
While Reddish hasn’t been the greatest offensive producer this year, he has shown an aptitude to knock down three-point shots at different periods. He is shooting 34.3% from deep and will give Los Angeles another weapon to use.
