The Packers supporters look for ways to talk green and gold abroad
If the Green Bay Packers played at the Indianapolis Colts during the NFL regular season, the Packers would likely have a tailgate party for fans in Indiana. However, it is currently late February.
In late February, there is no game scheduled at Lucas Oil Stadium. However, there will be a combined event and a gathering for Packers fans organized by Cheese Head TV. Joseph Randolph and Dave Kroll were previously unacquainted before coincidentally sitting next to one another at The District Tap.
Kroll stated that he anticipated it would be effortless to initiate conversations with individuals and was confident that they would all share a shared interest in the Packers, leading to a strong friendship. “Universal family.”
An online community of individuals with a shared interest in Cheesehead TV has been established by two individuals from the Fox Valley region, characterized by green and gold colors.
Aaron Nagler described it as primarily a community. “Initially, it began as a website and a podcast, and although it still encompasses those elements, it has significantly expanded over more than a decade.” When the Packers played in London, we scheduled a rendezvous at a pub in London, and, you know, we were taking a cab over, and we assumed, you know, 12, 15, maybe 20 people would show up. And we walked out. We stepped out of the cab, and there were 3 to 4 people deep out the door.” True fans will join together in a virtual corner bar or, as proven during the off-season in Indiana, in a real one.
“I watch Aaron on Packers Daily and Cheesehead TV, watch parties, and I had a chance to meet him, and I’m there,” Kroll said.
“Here’s someone who is just like me, who marks time on their calendar by the schedule—like, hey, the schedule comes out in May, and it’s like our whole kind of life is set around those days,” Nagler said.
“It’s like meeting like professionals,” remarked Randolph. “There’s a lot of times we’re not in Green Bay or Wisconsin, and you talk to what you believe is a Packer fan, and they don’t really know, like the ins and outs of the team. So it’s fantastic to see other contributors, like super fans, maybe say the down and dirty stuff.” Packers fans will never pass on an opportunity to debate Packers football.
