Martin Odegaard: Arsenal are not terrified of Manchester City
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has delivered a clear message: his club is not scared by the challenge of Manchester City in the hunt for the Premier League title.
With both clubs embroiled in a tight struggle, Odegaard’s comments represent the Gunners’ fearless mindset this season.
After Arsenal‘s 4-1 win over Newcastle, Odegaard spoke openly to TNT Sports about the title race: “Now is the moment to show that we’re not afraid, to show what we learned last season.”
He admits the disappointment of losing out to City last year but adds that Arsenal has benefited from that experience.
“The year before that, we missed the Champions League, and then we came back so strong. Of course, we missed out on the title last year, but it’s time to prove we gained something from that experience.,” Odegaard added, highlighting Arsenal‘s ability to bounce back.
Odegaard’s statements reveal the excellent environment among the Arsenal squad.
“We enjoy playing with each other; every day is so exciting… We’re all living the dream… That’s where we all want to be; we all want to battle for trophies,” he explained.
While acknowledging the difficulty of the Premier League, Odegaard stays laser-focused on the task at hand.
