Micah Parson blast DeMarcus Lawrence over statement…

The Dallas Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Reacts To DeMarcus Lawrence’s Comment.

The Dallas Cowboys are already under tremendous heat after their latest playoff setback, and regrettably, defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence recently threw fuel on that fire.

Appearing on ESPN’s First Take earlier this month, Lawrence suggested the Cowboys being “burnt out” was the key cause for the Wild Card Round defeat to the Green Bay Packers. Considering that the Cowboys played the same number of games as every other team and that the Packers took them under the woodshed in that game, many heaped on Lawrence for his answer.
Apparently, even those inside the organization weren’t satisfied with the way “Tank” answered.

During a recent appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show, star defender Micah Parsons stated he expected his team to play with more passion in a do-or-die game. … and objected to the concept that someone failed to do so.

“What I feel like is that once that regular season ends and they get into the playoffs, you’re supposed to get rejuvenated,” Parsons said. “Like, this is a whole new me, a whole new you. We need to get ready—and it’s part of that culture stuff that I was talking about, where I want to go into the players that we have to change. You should never go into a game like, ‘I’m exhausted. I’m ready to go home.’ Because that’s exactly what’s going to happen, and it did happen.

“I’m coming to the game like, ‘I got four more weeks left. I don’t know what y’all got, but I got four more weeks left.’”

Our Mike Fisher has opined that Lawrence “would prefer a mulligan” here and that he couldn’t possibly have meant the phrase as he delivered it. (Again, if Dallas was “weary” in one playoff game, how did the Super Bowl winner Chiefs bring up the energy to play and win four of them!?)

There has been plenty of criticism about the Cowboys being “soft” or having a “culture issue.” While Parsons doesn’t think the problem is that serious, he is aware that change needs to happen.

With the hire of new defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, renowned as a disciplinarian, the Cowboys should be playing with fire at all times., with “tired” being a reason to be “fired.”
