Giannis Antetokounmpo is missing in the starting five of the current NBA…

Giannis Left Off List as Bucks’ Damian Lillard Picks Starting 5 of Current NBA Players.

Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard shared his options for a starting five among current players, with his lineup comprising some of the greatest players in the league.

In an interview on TikTok with Nelson The Prodigy, Lillard revealed that if he could build a starting five, it would include himself, Steph Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Bam Adebayo.

The talent-studded list should come as no surprise, and Lillard even had the chance to partner up with Adebayo over the weekend in the All-Talent Game, so that could have influenced why he placed the Miami Heat star on his list.

Notably, Lillard didn’t include his own star teammate, Giannis Antetokounmpo, in the starting lineup. Antetokounmpo, who Lillard paired up with in Milwaukee over the winter, has undoubtedly established himself among the league’s finest players, and that hasn’t changed this year. The star is averaging 30.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game this year and is trying to lead the Bucks to another championship.

Perhaps Lillard’s list was more of a compliment to the stars he mentioned than any sort of criticism against Antetokounmpo.

Regardless, Lillard and Antetokounmpo are hoping to close off the season strong. The Bucks sit in third place in the Eastern Conference at 35-21, but they’ve gotten off to a bumpy start in the Doc Rivers era, losing seven of 10 since he took over as head coach.

The Bucks will be back in action on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves and will be trying to come out of the All-Star break with a win.
