Bayern Munich have rejected allegations of coach Thomas Tuchel cursing his players after their defeat to Bayer Leverkusen last week.

It was believed Tuchel addressed his players, “You are not as good as I imagined. I have to adjust to your level.”.

But Dieter Nickles, head of press at Bayern, has now stated: “Maybe we should simply establish one thing. After the Leverkusen match, it appeared that Thomas Tuchel should have stated a certain sentence in the dressing room.

“It’s just not true; there’s no truth in it.” Former Chelsea manager Tuchel has also refuted the claim.

“The sentence that Dieter just mentioned is ludicrous. If a coach says that, he will never get on the bus again.”
