Real Madrid unveiled Kylian Mbappes shirt No.

Kylian Mbappe is to be awarded the historic shirt number at Real Madrid but will not wear Cristiano Ronaldo’s former No. 7.

Mbappe will not steal his idol Cristiano Ronaldo’s renowned No. 7 shirt unless Vinicius Junior quits or decides he wants to change squad numbers, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Brazilian possesses the shirt number now and may be unwilling to give it up. However, given that Luka Modric is scheduled to leave at the conclusion of the season, the number 10 will be free for Mbappe.

Whether Mbappe is really bothered about shirt numbers or not remains to be seen. If he cannot stand not having the shirt of his choice, while doubtful, and he chooses to move elsewhere, he may have his selections limited. He has been connected with a speculative move to Arsenal in order to follow in Thierry Henry’s footsteps, but Eddie Nketiah occupies No. 14, therefore we approach yet another shirt number dilemma.

It is not going to be a quiet few months for Mbappe as he winds his contract down at PSG. He may well have already selected his next club, but the football world waits on bated breath for formal confirmation of where he will be playing his game next season. Mbappe, meanwhile, is going to be attempting to lift Ligue 1 again and the Champions League for the first time in his last months in the French capital.
