Update: 2024: Following a management reorganization, the automobile will…

When their 2024 vehicle is scheduled to break cover, Haas will be the most recent Formula One team to depart.

It follows the departure of Technical Director Simone Resta and the replacement of Team Principal Guenther Steiner by Ayao Komatsu. Haas finished last in the 2023 constructors’ standings.

Before making another drive in Bahrain in advance of pre-season testing at the same Sakhir location from February 21–23, Haas’s new vehicle will be unveiled during a shakedown at Silverstone on February 11.

Speaking to a small group of media, Komatsu responded to a question regarding Haas’ most recent design by saying, “The ’24 car is a definite step, but whether it’s good enough versus the competition to start off with, I don’t think so, given we started so late.”

“We also modified the idea so late, and we slightly redirected our resources by carrying out the Austin upgrade. Not negatively, but I’m realistic about the car we’re releasing in Bahrain. Our men, the engineers, are not at fault. They are decent individuals.

“In my opinion, the crucial aspect is that, regardless of the vehicle in Bahrain, we attempt to comprehend the issue and proceed as a group after that. As you are aware, our crew is small. We can’t hope to succeed if we don’t move together.

It is a step forward to directly answer your question. Is it sufficient? No. However, from there, we take action to demonstrate whether or not we can strengthen the team.

In accordance with the rest of the Formula One grid, Haas will field an identical driver lineup in 2024 when Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen begin their second season together.
